Third production in a series by Visions International looking at individual operations of freight companies operating in the United Kingdom. This DVD looks at Freightliner since 2000 starting by looking at various forms of motive power which have been used by the company. Then a look at modes of traffic handled, firstly the flow that first built the business, container trains. Next feature is contracted work to Network Rail, a contracted of which has been widely expanded by Freightliner since 1999. Third section looks at cement traffic that first began in 2000. Next to be featured are the three depots operated by Freightliner, main depot of Leeds Midland Road plus Ipswich and Southampton. Back to the traffic flows and featured are bin liner trains as well as oil tanker trains that operate between Humber and Kingsbury. Potash workings between Boulby and Tees Dock is featured along with numerous stone trains. Next section is a feature on Felixstowe Port, largest container port in Britain. Also a look at contacts now lost and one off contracts for Freightliner plus contracts awarded for stock moves. Then we look at new locomotives arriving at Newport docks with a final section featured on coal trains. Throughout the DVD which can either be played with or without commentary a variety of locomotives are shown at various locations.
