No Trolley's To Aquarium

An Online Video production looking back at the trolleybuses from in and around Brighton which last operated in June 1961. Starts off with a brief look back at the early electric systems which operated in Brighton before the trolleybuses included Volks Electric Railway of 1883, Brighton and Rottingdean Seashore Tramroad of 1896 plus Devil Dyke Cable Railway of 1899. From this we look at the electric tramway system which started in 1901 and we follow the history until ceasing and being taken over by trolleybuses in 1938. The trolleybuses system and operations are fully described ith each route shown and the various types of trolleybus used and continues through to the closure of the system. As a special feature we also are able to see some withdrawn trolleybuses gaining further use on other systems such as Bournemouth, Bradford and Maidstone.
