Slamdoor Farewell

At the end of 2005, the last slam door departed London, and this DVD which was produced by A&J Video in co-operation with Online Video in 2006 looks at some of the units which took over the services formerly operated using slam door rolling stock including class 375's and 377's. Also shown are special tours such as the Southern Belle. Although the majority of slam-door trains were to leave the network they continued further use on the Lymington branch whereupon footage is shown. Another feature is the preserved unit which was once based at the East Kent Railway in Shepherdswell.
