Nene Valley Railway A Journey By Steam

A 128 page hardback pictorial album full of colour photographs which show varied steam locomotives on the preserved 7 ½ mile Nene Valley Railway in Cambridgeshire over a 10 year period between 2010 and 2020. Each photograph with highly informative and detailed caption shows the various steam locomotives at a range of locations along the line. Among those in which are featured includes locomotives which are permanently based at the railway as well as some of the visitors which have made their presence known at the railway. Nene Valley Railway as can be seen in the photos play host to locomotives of British origin and locomotives from around the world. The varied locomotives are of tank locomotives and tender versions. These locomotives prior to being preserved could be seen working branch lines, industrial lines or performing main line express freight and passenger duties. The album shows these different types of locomotives now in preservation and restored to working trains in preservation at places such as Nene Valley Railway which the book is focussed on.
