Narrow Gauge Through Porthmadog

This 128 page hardback pictorial album book forms part of a series in the narrow gauge album series of books also published by Mainline and Maritime. Using a wide range of photographs in which were taken on a number of visits by the author between 2005 and 2019 this book shows the varied narrow gauge steam operations on preserved Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway. The photographs show the varied operations either with normal passenger trains as well as special events including photo charters. The railways are shown running through some stunning Welsh scenery and most of the steam locomotives in which are part of these railways are featured. Each of the colour photographs featured are provided with highly detailed and informative captions. This book can be very easily described as providing the very best of a colourful illustrated journey from Blaenau Ffestiniog on a 40 mile trip through the heart of Snowdonia all the way to Caernarfon.
