Narrow Gauge In Sweden and Norway

128-page hardback publication as part of the narrow gauge album series published by Mainline and Maritime in 2022, this book was written by James Waite in which with a number of photographs looking at preserved narrow gauge railway systems and locomotives of Sweden and Norway. Starting with Sweden and narrow gauge lines which are featured including heritage railway operations of the 3-foot gauge Skara to Lundsbrunn Jarnvagar line, the 3-foot gauge preserved Anten Line, and the preserved Hultsfredd to Vastervik Jarnvag line. Also the preserved Gotlands Hesselby Jarnvag Railway, East Sodermanland Railway as well as the preserved line of Upsala Lenna Jarnvag. Also featured is preserved narrow gauge steam on display at Nohab, Delary, Kristianstad Museum, Ostergotlands Jarnvagsmuseum, Koping Museum, Surahammar Bruksmuseum, Mariefred plus Nora station museum, Jarnvagmuseet along with Hagfors Museum. The narrow gauge steam of Norway is illustrated with the preserved line between Grovane and Beiholen as well as a preserved section of the Tertitten Railway. Steam locomotives on display in Norway include those at Hamar Museum. This album certainly shows the greatness of preservation for narrow gauge in both Sweden and Norway.
