Llangollen Railway - Foward To The Future

128-page hardback pictorial album which forms part of a series of Standard Gauge Album of books. This book written by Iain McCall, published in 2021 by Mainline and Maritime is full of photographs of scenes on the 10-mile preserved Llangollen Railway in North Wales. Throughout the book are high-quality images of railway operations with locomotives performing their daily duties traveling through some amazing scenery. These amazing scenic photographs show the lineside features but also the trains running through them. These trains come from a variety of motive power both steam locomotives and diesel locomotives along with diesel multiple units. The steam locomotives are represented from former Great Western Railway tanks of a variety of classes, former Great Western Collett Goods locomotives, Great Western Railway Manors, Southern Railway Bullieds, London Midland and Scottish Railway 8F’s plus many others. These locomotives are either from the home feet or as visitors. Types of diesel are represented by class 25, class 31, class 37, and others who are either part of the home fleet or visiting for events. All that can be seen are photographs which were taken between 2009 and 2020 which have never been published before.
