Description
A 2006 Online Video production taking a trip along the line of preserved Kent and East Sussex Railway running between Tenterden Town and Bodiam. DVD starts off with scenes from the high street in Tenterden then heading down to Tenterden Town station where the first train of the day departs and is followed by a light engine arrival, Norwegian State Railways 21C Class Steam Locomotive 376 “Norwegian” that will form the second train departure. A brief look is taken around the carriage and wagon department and at the station museum. Next, we board and take a cab ride on board the steam locomotive leaving Tenterden Town, gliding down 1 in 47 gradients to Cranbrook Road Level Crossing and onwards to Rolvenden. At Rolvenden a brief stop is taken to allow sights from around the village and also the locomotive works. The journey carries on through the countryside to Wittersham Road. At Wittersham Road we look around the permanent way depot and also scenes of rolling stock being loaded and unloaded. A change of trains allows us to take a cab ride on board class 108 diesel multiple unit away from Wittersham Road crossing over Hexdon Channel and leaving Kent into East Sussex over the Rover Rother to Northiam. After a brief look around Northiam, the journey carries on back in the cab of the diesel multiple unit to our final destination of Bodiam. When arriving at Bodiam we get views of the historic Bodiam Castle.
