Diesels Around South East Wales

104-page album published in 2023 by Mainline and Maritime written by author Andrew Wiltshire contains a huge selection of photographs during the period between the 1960s and the modern day. The photographs show a varied selection of locomotives operating in the area of South East Wales with a variety of liveries. The locomotives photographed and shown in the book are operating varied services including both passenger and freight trains. The variety of motive power includes locomotives class 08s, class 20s, class 31s, class 35s, class 37s, class 40s, class 46s, class 47s, class 50s, class 52s, class 56s, class 60s, class 66s along with diesel multiple units such as class 116, class 120, class 121, class 150, class 158. The album is well set out with each decade given its own decade. The photographs which have been included provide details of how progress is made and how the landscape changed with the liveries of motive power from the British Rail Era through sectorisation and privatization.
