Bristol To Blaenau - 60 Years Of Ffestiniog Railway Society Bristol Group

Part of the Narrow Gauge Album series, this 120-page hardback illustrated and photographic book published in 2022 by Mainline and Maritime looks back over the 60-year history of Ffestiniog Railway Society Bristol Group. Written by group Chairman Tim Maynard the photographs which have been published show the major important role in how the Bristol Group are with preservation and support over the last 60 years for Ffestiniog Railway. It begins with the journey in 1955 which was 7 years prior to the reopening of Ffestiniog Railway, then a highly detailed record with accompanying photographs of the years between 1962 and 1998. Each year shows significant memories of progress for the railway. After 1998 a leap forward to 2010 and continues through to the present day with further photographs in which members recorded their special moments with the railway. This album formed through the photographs gives a great sense of progress that has been made and the role in which was played in preservation for the Ffestiniog Railway in the last 60 years.
