BRER
Online Video production with a gricer’s* view (* railway enthusiast, a trainspotter) of trains between Liverpool Street, Stratford, and Ilford in the 1980s. The Eastern Region was almost ignored by railway enthusiasts, its types of diesel and electric trains were worthy of more attention. This DVD shows many units of the past including first-generation class 108, 110, 115, and 117 diesel multiple units as well as class 302, 305, 308, 310, 312, and 315 electric multiple units. These shots were filmed over many locations in the Eastern Region including Liverpool Street, Ilford, and many more. Also shown are trains worked by diesel locomotives such as class 08s, 31s, 37s, and 47s. Until this 52-minute DVD was released never had there previously been any production of this type so previously ignored for enthusiasts of the Anglian area of Eastern Region and the traction that served the areas. The scenes as well as showing the varied traction and the lines served also give illustration to a variety of liveries used in the corporate British Railway period of the 1980's.
