Big Freight 25

Number 25 in the Big Freight series with three hours of the best freight action from 2021. Produced by Train Crazy in co-operation with Videoscene in conjunction with Freightmaster, a vast amount of trains are featured with new flows, diversions, and freight-only lines all wrapped up in a blaze of different liveries. Features include stone trains in the picturesque Peak District area including all the quarries, Hope Cement works, and the Hope Valley line. Freight action shown at Robestone in West Wales with two Class 60-hauled 2800-ton oil trains for Westerleigh plus the Class 60 hauled trains to Trostre Steel Works, the Class 56 hauled Baglan to Chirk logs, 37800 takes a Class 317 for scrap on Newport docks plus an extended feature on the once-weekly coal train to Onllwyn Colliery. Footage also comes from the overgrown and rarely seen Onllwyn branch and a visit to the colliery itself with the train loading up and departing. A variety of freight flows and a number of different locomotives are shown in and around the vast freight hotspot of Derby. Colas Class 56 workings at Crewe and Chester are included plus ballast trains on the restored Okehampton line, DCR Class 60s, new Class 90 liveries WCML freight at Searchlight Lane, and much more.
