Description
2 ½ hours of the best freight activity from around the UK filmed through 2014 into the spring of 2015 produced by Trains Crazy in co-operation with Videoscene and with the assistance of Freightmaster. DVD features Class 60s are being returned to the mainline for Colas and being employed on the thrice-weekly Lindsey-Preston oil trains. Various locos are featured working 6M32 and 6E32 on the freight-only branch to Preston Docks and other parts of the route and in addition showing the Colas Class 60s working log trains between Carlisle and Chirk. Visiting the Freightmaster hotspot of Barnetby to look at the various freight flows on the three approach lines from Lincoln, Gainsborough, and Scunthorpe and with large-scale resignalling planned for this part of Lincolnshire, all eight signal boxes located on these lines are also shown. Also look at three freight-only lines in the Oxford area with Class 59-hauled stone trains to Appleford, Class 66s on car trains to Cowley, and more Class 66 locomotive action to the Banbury Road stone terminal as well as looking at the diverted MOD train to Bicester and with a very busy day at the Calvert landfill site. Other features include class 68 action, Colas Class 70s, a selection of Rail Head Treatment Train workings, footage from the West Coast Main Line hot spot of Rugeley Trent Valley, DBS Class 60 winter footage from Elford, and DRS class 37s to Ormskirk.
