Big Freight 1

Produced by Train Crazy in co-operation with Videoscene, this is the 1st in the series of big freight DVDs. This DVD is rich with footage recorded between 2000 and 2002 at 22 different locations. It starts by looking at a Hanson Class 59 hauling 7A09 the 07:05 Merehead Quarry to Acton stone train comprising of 45 wagons weighing in a total of over 3000 tons. This is then followed by much other freight traffic including car transporters, cement, coal, engineers, enterprise, Freightliner, and tanker traffic with a variety of locomotives totaling 41 ranging from class 37’s, 47’s, 56’s, 57’s, 58’s, 59’s, 60’s and 66’s. The locations in which show these locomotives working the variety of freight trains include Bamford, Charing, Cheddington, Cholsey, Cosssington, Dawlish, Didcot, Eastleigh, Kensington Olympia, Kintbury, Little Bedwyn, Merehead, Moreston Hall, Newport, Preston, Sandling, Shawford, Thorpe, Trimley, Westbury, Winsford and York. Prior to this DVD never has such  a wide variety of freight activity been recorded and produced.
