Marsden Rail Volume 8 - Birmingham

This DVD looks at scenes between 1962 and 1967 in and around the area of Birmingham. Starting at Old Hill with fright action involving GWR Panniers, LMS Black 5’s and BR 9F’s Further freight action is then seen at Hockley, Cradley Heath, Stourbridge Junction and Snowhill as well as Halton. A visit then to Knowle and Doridge plus Snowhill provides a look at passenger traffic in the hands of GWR Castle Class locomotives. Views of freight working the Lickey Incline are also shown before passenger trains working in and out of Birmingham, New Street. Bescott, Wednesbury and Priestfeild provides many scenes of LMS 8F hauled freight and passenger workings with GWR Halls and Panniers. DVD closes out at Stafford involving BR Class 40 diesel locomotives working passenger traffic and LMS 3F Jinty handling freight.
