Marsden Rail Volume 40 - Yorkshire and Lancashire

Marsden Rail Production in connection with Cinerail and Videoscene presents 39th title in the popular Marsden Rail series which takes a look at changes of 1960’s in and round the Yorkhire area plus Lancashire area. Starting out at Leeds with LMS and LNER are working variety of services including parcels, passenger, freight and excursions. A journey is taken on board a DMU from Leeds Central to Bradford Exchange where more LMS locomotives are given a feature. Scenes along th Calder Valley Line show BR introduced locomotives taking on a lot of work from LMS designs. Heavy feature on freight activity is shown at Huddersfield by Both BR and LMS designs whilst the passenger workings are still mainly handled by LMS Fairburn Tanks. We take a jouney along the Calder Valley Route from Halifax to our next point of feature, Rochdale. manchester features three stations and activity at each of these are included. Passenger and freight movements is shown at Wigan along with a brief visit to Wigan Springs Branch motive power depot. Other areas of note in the Lancashire area are shown along with few other steam locomotive depots with final scenes being of the last days of steam with many excursions and special workings.
