Marsden Rail Volume 10 - Sheffield To Nottingham

DVD starts with a tour hauled by LNER A3 4472 Flying Scotsman from Sheffield Victoria through Darnall, Woodhouse, Spink Hill and briefly pausing at Shirebrook before heading onwards to Nottingham Victoria. At Nottingham Victoria freight traffic is shown hauled by LMS Black 5’s, 8F’s, LNER 04’s, B1’s and BR WD’s and 9F’s along with BR class 47’s on passenger duties. Returning to Sheffield Victoria with more freight scenes followed by visits to Killamarsh scrapyard, Beighton Junction and nearby Beighton scrapyard. Then we look at the electrified Woodhead route at Oughtibridge where BR EM1 and EM2 electric locomotives are shown working alongside BR class 20’s, 40’s and 45’s. DVD closes out on another tour from Sheffield Victoria through Rennishaw on to Chesterfield Loops via Chesterfield Central and Heath Junction to Nottingham Victoria. All footage shown was shot between 1962 and 1966.
