Description
A J&K Video production taking a look at the line between Gospel Oak and Barking which is operated by London Overground since taking over from Silverlink Metro franchise in 2007. This 13 mile route with 12 stations which is operated by freight trains and also known as the Goblin Line was electrified in 2016 although electric services did not begin until 2019. DVD begins with a look at diesel multiple unit operating using class 172 diesel multiple units that were introduced in 2010 as replacement for class 150 diesel multiple units. Next is a look at class 378 electric multiple unit operation that began to work over the Gospel Oak to Barking line alongside the class 172 diesel multiple units in March 2019. The final feature then looks at the introduction of the class 710 electric multiple units in March 2019 with a detailed look at the line as of August 2019.
