Marsden Rail Volume 9 - Leeds

This DVD shows scenes in and around Leeds between 1962 and 1967. Starting out at Leeds City Station moving onto Newlay and Horsforth, Shipley, Marley Junction, Thwaite Junction, Keighley, Steeton Manor, Connonley, Snaygill Loops and Skipton where scenes include light engine movement, freight traffic and passenger traffic. Locomotives shown include LMS Fairburn Class 4 tanks 42072, 42093, 42138 and 42196 plus LMS Black 5’s 4662, 44689, 44753, 44774, 44828, 44889, 44896, 44951, 45043, 45072, 45193, 45273, 45284 and 45428. Also LMS Jubilees 45562 Alberta, 45593 Kholapur, 45608 Gibraltar, 45646 Napier, 45647 Sturdee and 45653 Barham along with Coronation Class 46238 City of Carlisle as well as LMS 3F Jinty’s 47427 and 47602. Further LMS type of locomotives featured were 8F’s 48029, 48067, 48339, 48393 and 48443. LNER locomotives are shown including A4’s 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley, 60019 Bittern and 60023 Golden Eagle plus A1 60145 Saint Mungo, B1 61373, K162046 and Q6 63344 and 63420. BR standards include Britannia class 70025 Western Star and 70051 Firth of Forth as well a class 4’s 75042 and 75057. A few diesel locomotives were also filmed such a class 25 D5252, class 27’s D5374, D5377, class 40’s S127, D171, and class 47’s D1767 and D1801
