No Trolleys To Loose

Visit trolleybuses in the Maidstone area with footage ranging from 1928 up to 1973. Trolleybuses first ran in the Kent town in 1904. This DVD takes a look at routes such as Barming, Loose to Tovil along streets such as Sutton Road, High Street, Tonbridge Road plus more. Trolleybuses include No 72, a one off water car, plus many others. Vehicles used on the system were made locally by Tiling Stevens until they closed in 1977. Also shown are the special tours in 1964 plus a centenary parade in 2004. Some of the trolleybuses used in Maidstone have been lucky to be preserved and these are shown
