37418 CAB RIDE PART 3 - STOWMARKET TO WELWYN GC TO HITHER GREEN

3RD of 4 Train Crazy productions in co-operation with Videoscene and with the full assistance of Loram Rail Operations in which a cab ride is taken on board to class 37 diesel locomotive 37418 named “An Comunn Gaidhealach” in large logo livery which is on hire to Loram Rail Operations. The locomotive over the days of 12th and 13th May 2023 worked a massive out and back journey from Derby, running a whopping 600 plus miles and reaching the Eastern and Southern regions. This third DVD in the series of 4 features the journey from Stowmarket to Welwyn Garden City then onward to Hither Green via Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, East Coast Main Line, Gospel Oak and Kensingtomn Olympia. After changing ends at Stowmarket we head off via Bury St. Edmunds, Chippenham Junction and the lesser-seen mostly single line to Cambridge, then to the Hitchin and the ECML again, finally to Welwyn Garden City CE sidings for overnight stabling. Resuming the following morning, the journey continues south along the ECML, Finsbury Park and on to the North London Line, Gospel Oak, Camden Road and Willesden. It's a slow crawl - as always - following EMUs, then via Mitre Bridge Junction, Kensington Olympia, Factory Junction, Denmark Hill, Nunhead and Lewisham we reach Hither Green and run into the yard.
