Description
Discover the history of Jubilee Line with origins dating back to the early 1900’s through to the actual construction that began in 1972 and official opening in 1979. See the open day held at Neasden in 1983 where new stock which had been delivered was on display. Next feature is of 1986 prototype stock being tested out on Jubilee Line followed by a feature of 1986 Stanmore Depot open day. Construction of new 1996 stock by Adtranz of Derby and withdrawal of 1985 stock is also featured. Feature of the Stratford extensions is shown along with behind the scenes footage of newly built Stratford depot which shortly after completions saw rail tour with preserved 1938 tube stock. Present day scenes then shown filmed in mid 2000’s of the Jubilee Line with infrastructure and architecture of the stations are shown starting at Stratford before going onto West Ham, Canning Town, North Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Canada Water, Bermondsey, London Bridge, Southwark, Waterloo and into Westminster then continuing onwards from Green Park to Bond Street, Baker Street, St John’s Wood, Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road, West Hampstead, Kilburn, Willesden Green, Dolls Hill, Neasden, Wembley Park, Kingsbury, Queensbury and Cannons Park before finishing at Stanmore.
